    As mental health and wellness practitioners, Alice and I seek to meet you where you are — by listening and working to understand. From there, each of us shares the philosophy of working with you, the client, together in partnership, toward greater awareness and change in the ways you seek. We use methods supported by evidence, from talk therapy, to Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and family systems, guided by who you, where you are, and what may be needed. We see life as a journey, or some may say a lifelong process of development, with bumps in the road, places and times where we may get stuck for various reasons, at various ages. But these bumps and difficulties, while challenging, can become opportunities for growth and new ways of being.

    This is a philosophy that Alice and I share, and offer to share with you, in our own unique ways.

    Alice and I are trained and like to work with people of all types, ages, genders, races, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. Alice works often with parents and families. I, Josh, work often with children, adolescents, and young adults.

    At A Place To Be Heard, we provide services on a sliding fee scale, at a cost you can afford — and we make every effort to not turn someone away based on income issues.
